CPCS approved for 2.0 CPCS credits for the adult criminal trial and the post-conviction appeal panels.

This program offers a chance to hear directly from Probation. Local probation supervisors will offer practical insight on how to structure effective conditions. Attendees will receive information on electronic monitoring and an overview of how supervision works. Participants will have an ample opportunity to ask question of the panelists in what is anticipated to be an animated an informative discussion.

This training is intended for defense attorneys and prosecutors to best navigate the following sentencing topics as well as, keep current with developing areas of the law and in the Trial Court:

1. How Probation uses the revised Sentencing Guidelines.
2. Working with Probation to propose effective probation conditions, including Mass. R. Crim. P. 12 and Dist./Mun. Ct. R. 4(c).
3. Increasing familiarity with the GPS order form.
4. How does probation determine how people are supervised?
5. What does supervision look like?
