This forum, hosted by the Cannabis Control Commission and the Social Law Library, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA), brings together officials from municipalities that have decided to move ahead with cannabis commerce to discuss the decision-making process at the local level and the path they took to arrive at where they are today. The intent of the event is to allow other municipalities to hear directly from Mayors, City and Town Managers, Members of Boards of Selectmen, Municipal Counsel, Economic Development Directors, Public Health Directors and others representing municipalities that have taken affirmative steps to introduce regulated marijuana establishments into their respective communities. What were the considerations at the local level? What are the concerns and how are communities mitigating them? What advice would you give other municipalities? In addition, the forum is intended to promote an informed discussion and balanced narrative about the municipal landscape and what cannabis businesses should be prepared for at the municipal level. Join us for two moderated panels featuring municipal officials in the trenches.

• Panel 1: A Conversation with Municipal Leaders, moderated by Geoff Beckwith, Executive Director, MMA

 • Panel 2: Specific Issues: Social Equity, Economic Development, Public Health and Other Considerations, moderated by Shawn Collins, Executive Director, Cannabis Control Commission
